On its Emerald Year, Capitol Medical Center marks another milestone as it celebrates 55 years of service in the industry and proudly receives its first-ever Quill Award of Merit at the recently concluded 21st Quill Awards.

21st Quill Awards

Recognized as the “gold standard” in business communication in the Philippines, the Quill Awards is a prestigious recognition program organized by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines.

“Mahirap manalo ng Quill — whatever level, we have merit and excellence. It’s both a very quantitative and qualitative award, meaning you have to show real results,” shared Ms. Belle Tiongco, President of IABC Philippines, as she extended her sincere congratulations during the formal handover of the plaque on September 22, 2025 at the Capitol Medical Center Building.

The Winning Piece

CMC’s winning entry, Community Integrated Management for Childhood Illnesses (CMCI), was recognized under Division 1: Communication Management, Category 15: Corporate Social Responsibility.

The project, spearheaded by the Pediatrics Department, envisions the sustainability of health and wellness for children aged 0–5 years old in the community. It has been diligently carried out in Barangay Paligsahan, CMC’s partner community, where it continues to make a meaningful impact.

This initiative highlights the importance of strong collaboration and effective communication between CMC and the barangay, resulting in well-implemented programs and measurable outcomes that support child health and development.

CMC’s Future: One of the Many Awards

Capitol Medical Center has always been altruistic in its commitment to delivering the “Right Care, Right Here” to its patients. This recognition is just one of the many milestones that affirm CMC’s dedication to community-centered healthcare.

“I am very thankful to the Pediatric Department. I am also grateful to Barangay Paligsahan for allowing us to collaborate with you and your constituents. Thank you for acknowledging their work,” expressed Ms. Victoria Lorelie M. Tan, as she proudly appreciated the collective efforts behind this achievement.

This first Quill Award of Merit is not only a celebration of CMC’s 55th year but also a testament to its unwavering mission of creating meaningful impact — for patients, for communities, and for the future.
