The Department of Radiology offers diagnostic and therapeutic procedures dedicated to delivering high-quality imaging to aid physicians and patients with their health care needs. With the use of advanced technology and imaging techniques, our radiologists can provide excellent imaging related services for Capitol Medical Center’s physicians and patients.
The Department of Radiology has been in existence since the establishment of Capitol Medical Center. It is equipped with digital and high-level technology imaging machines. From its inception, it has evolved into a multi-specialty department with accredited residency and fellowship training programs. The Radiology consultants are accredited active fellows of the Philippine College of Radiology and its specialties, and are trained in varying subspecialties. Our Radiologic Technologists and Nurses are certified and highly experienced. They work together in a professional manner to offer quality healthcare.
The Department of Radiology is comprised of multiple sections offering various specialty modalities: Diagnostic Imaging Section (X-ray), Computed Tomography (64-slice and 128-slice CT scans) & Magnetic Resonance Imaging (1.5 Tesla) – CT-MRI Section, Ultrasound Section (UTZ), Breast Care Center (BCC), and Interventional Radiology Section (IR).

The Ultrasound Section is offering a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations using top-of- the-line machines that deliver outstanding diagnostic confidence.
Virtually all parts of the body may be examined using the systems, including the neonatal brain, carotids, abdominal or peripheral blood vessels, thyroid gland, breast, prostate, testes, muscles, joints, soft tissues, chest, abdomen (liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, pancreas, spleen, kidneys and appendix).
Ultrasound-guided percutaneous biopsy of abdominal, thyroid or breast masses or tumors; needle aspiration or drainage of abscess, cyst, pleural effusion, or ascites; and transrectal biopsy of the prostate are being performed with great precision and accuracy. The service is manned by well-trained and experienced radiologists who are leaders in their field, as well as qualified and competent ultrasonographers and other support staff.
For maximum benefit and accuracy, all examinations are carefully performed or personally supervised and checked by physician-radiologists.
No patient is allowed to leave the section without receiving a proper diagnosis or impression.
