Department of Anesthesiology

The Capitol Medical Center’s Department of Anesthesiology continues with its tradition of excellence in the practice of anesthesia, delivering competent care with compassion, and adapting to global standards of quality and safety, as it has for more than 50 years.

The department is composed of a board-certified consultant staff with diverse expertise and clinical experience, complemented by the service of house anesthesiologists, to provide anesthesia care to CMC patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The department has in its roster subspecialists in pediatric anesthesia, cardiovascular anesthesia, perinatal, neuroanesthesia, and pain medicine, and continually strives to engage anesthesiologists with specialty training to broaden the capabilities of the service. As perioperative clinicians, the staff members maintain a collaborative spirit and promote cooperative and respectful relationships with colleagues within the department and from other specialties for the common goal of optimal patient care.
